About Emeris Primus
This is the simplest form of AMR. It involves a small number of end-points and reading tools for a quick start.

All that you need to start reading meters remotely is shipped to you in a box, together with simple to understand quick start guidelines to help you set up your AMR system in a few hours. No need for specialist knowledge or special tools.

About Emeris Base
Elster’s Emeris Base is Elster’s wireless mobile AMR system.

Wireless AMR systems help to reduce reading costs while improving reading accuracy by eliminating human data entry error. All read data is captured and transferred to the billing system electronically.  Additionally, they eliminate the need for meter access, which equates to improved efficiency and reduced employee exposure to hazardous reading environments.

Emeris Base allows utilities to read their meters via handheld devices today, whilst being fully prepared for a future, seamless upgrade to an AMI fixed network. This way, present investment is future-proof.

Ready for AMI?

Some utilities choose to go for AMI fixed network from the outset; some others migrate from a mobile solution (e.g. Emeris Base). Whatever the path you decide to take, when choosing Emeris Magnus you can be sure you will have a true AMI solution with full 2-way wireless communications, allowing you to attain higher levels of efficiency, conservation and customer service.

About Emeris Magnus
Typically, after realising the benefits of intelligent metering though a pilot project, customers decide to extend these benefits to cover wider areas with a wireless fixed network.

With Emeris Magnus there is no need for meter reading staff or handheld terminals - all end-to-end communications are instead done via the fixed network. The network  comprises of GPRS concentrators as well as repeaters which transit the metering data from the meter end-point all the way to the back office (see ‘how it works section’).

Elster will provide you with all the necessary equipment, tools and most importantly, all the experience gathered over many years though deployment of large intelligent metering systems across the world.
