External Serial Communications Board

The External Serial Communications Option Board is powered by the RS-232 signals from the device it is connected to. This board provides an interface with the following communication systems.

  • External telephone modems
  • MSU-12 (Modem Sharing Unit)
  • MCT-360 interface to the EMETCON power line carrier system
